At work today and my boss catches the toaster oven on fire. Again. He’s heating up a greasy rueben eggroll type thing, and has it cooking on 400 degrees. You’re supposed to cook food, boss, not try and melt it!

My wife has destroyed a work toaster oven and two work microwaves. The ones at home have remained safe.

I myself ruined a microwave when I put popcorn in it and failed to use the popcorn button. Instead I hit 5 minutes and proceeded to light that shit on fire.

A previous roommate had one hell of a time with my toaster. I have no idea how he managed it, because he swore up and down he didn’t touch the dial. But he burned toast all the time. Nasty smells in the appartment and everything. One day, I came in and he was gone, but the room seemed kinda smoky. I noticed the smell in the hallway before I opened my door, but there was no smoke in the hall. I went around the entire appartment twice trying to figure out what might have been on fire, before I noticed the huge black spot on the bottom of the cupboard right above the toaster. I didn’t say anything to him, but I brought up the smoke a few weeks later and he confessed that there were actual flames coming out of it.
I still use that toaster, and to this day it has never burned MY toast.
